Head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov says that it's quite possible to raise the minimum wage to UAH 7,000 by the end of 2017.

“I believe that at the beginning of 2017 the minimum wage should be approved at the level of UAH 5,000, and by the end of the year at UAH 7,500,” he said in an interview posted on the website of the State Fiscal Service.

He added that the minimum wage growth to UAH 3,200 from January 1, 2017 is not something unusual in terms of the state of economy. According to him, it was quite possible to envisage the minimum wage rise in the national budget as far back as in the spring-summer of 2016, moreover, to the level of UAH 5,000.
