European Commission to help Ukraine’s Fiscal Service modernize customs and tax areas

"Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov attended a meeting with Peter Wagner, the Head of the Support Group for Ukraine at the European Commission. During the meeting, the parties discussed the projects in the customs and tax fields, which are implemented with the support of the European Commission. In particular, Nasirov stressed the importance of implementing such joint initiatives as the project of Twinning ‘Support for the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in the development of elements of integrated border management in the customs area," the statement reads.

During the meeting, the plans and prospects of further cooperation were discussed in order to improve the professional competence of the customs personnel. In addition, the parties identified priorities for future cooperation in customs and tax fields.
