Naftogaz: Private companies import 26% of gas to Ukraine

The share of private companies that import gas to Ukraine grew to 26% as of October 2016, the press service of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine reports.
“The large-scale reform of gas market has been launched in Ukraine. The country is rapidly integrating into the European energy space, the largest European gas suppliers have already started to operate on the Ukrainian market or announced about intentions to enter it. The share of private gas importers grew from 1% in 2014 to 26% over 10 months in 2016,” reads a report.
According to Naftogaz, the share of private gas suppliers for commercial consumers on gas market reached 78% in 2015 and continues to grow in 2016.
