EU to allocate EUR 119 mln for fight against corruption in Ukraine – source

The EU plans to allocate EUR 119 million for fight against corruption and reform of public administration in Ukraine.

The relevant agreements are planned to be reached at the EU-Ukraine Summit in Brussels on November 24, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The summit will confirm the allocation of EUR 15 million to support the anti-corruption program and of EUR 104 million to support the reform of public administration," a source in the Council of the European Union said.

The EU is also to announce the launch of a new program to support the rule of law in Ukraine through the reform of the judiciary and the police.

The cooperation agreement on data exchange between Ukraine and Europol is also expected to be signed during the EU-Ukraine Summit in Brussels.
