EU allocates EUR 54 mln for reforms in Ukraine
This is stated in a press release provided to Ukrinform by the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
"The European Union has announced about the transfer of three tranches totaling 54 million euros to support reforms in the sphere of decentralization, transport and technical standardization in Ukraine,” reads the press release.
In particular, the EU transferred the first tranche of 23 million euros for the implementation of the Support Programme for Regional Policy of Ukraine, which is aimed at raising a general level of wellbeing of citizens throughout the country. The total cost of its implementation is 55 million euros.
In line with the program on the Support to the implementation of the Transport Strategy of Ukraine, the EU transferred the second tranche totaling 25.9 million euros.
The EU Delegation to Ukraine also stated that the third tranche was provided to Ukraine for the development of trade sector: the EU transferred 5.14 million euros to the state budget of Ukraine to facilitate the trade between the two partners.
