Average wage in Ukraine increases by quarter this year - Kubiv

Average monthly nominal wage of full-time employees increased by 24.3% in January-September, 2016.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv said this during an Hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A real wage growth has been observed for the first time in two years as a result of production growth, increase in the minimum wage from May 1, 2016 by 5.2%, as well as reduction of the rate of single social tax starting from May, 2016," Stepan Kubiv said.

He stressed that the average monthly nominal salary of full-time employees increased by 24.3% up to UAH 4,989 in January-September 2016.
