Deputy Presidential Administration Head Dmytro Shymkiv stated this during an opening ceremony of Ukraine Silk Road International Forum held in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We very much welcome the prospect of attracting Chinese investors in the Ukrainian economy. And I would like to see more cooperation in the sphere of future technologies. Since such technologies can let us implement the projects of new type transport corridors or create 'smart cities’, which are being actively developed in China, the creation of a joint intellectual production with participation of Ukrainian engineers,” Shymkiv said.
He noted that due to the deregulation and easing of doing business in Ukraine, the number of permits were reduced by 40%, while a number of economic activities were cut from 56 to 30.
The Presidential Administration deputy head also noted that at this forum the Silk Road project is considered as a tool for enhancing economic cooperation between Ukraine and China, as well as with other countries.
In this regard, Shymkiv noted that Ukraine is the gateway of the ‘Silk Road’ to Europe.
