Ukraine has great expectations about the development of a new transport corridor project - the Silk Road.

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadiy Zubko said this at the First International Ukraine Silk Road Forum held in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At present the Silk Road is a promising investment through-passage that connects Central Asia with the world. Ukraine is the first European country in this way, and this is exactly the place we should take in the development strategy of our relations. It is very important for us to develop transport, rail, maritime, port infrastructure. This is what we expect from the development of this transport corridor,” Zubko said.
