Ukrainian agricultural exports exceed $9 bn for eight months

January-August 2016, Ukraine exported agricultural products worth $9.1 billion, amounting to 40.1% of total national exports within this period.
This is reported by the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine.
"The leaders of the structure of agricultural exports are: crops ($3.6 billion), prepared food products ($1.4 billion), seeds and fruits of oil plants ($0.7 billion), and residues and waste from the food industry ($0.6 billion)," the statement reads.
In addition, for the eight months of this year, Ukraine imported agricultural products worth $2.5 billion, totaling 10.3% of total imports into the country.
January-August 2016, the balance of foreign trade of agricultural products amounted to + USD 6.6 billion.
