Finance Minister Danylyuk: World Bank approves $500 million loan guarantees for energy firm Naftohaz

The Board of Directors of the World Bank has approved a decision to give Ukraine loan guarantees of $500 million for the purchase of necessary volumes of natural gas. The Funds will be transferred to Naftohaz Ukrayiny, Danylyuk wrote on his Facebook account.
"I welcome today’s decision by the Board of Directors of the World Bank to give Naftohaz guarantees of $500 million to buy gas. This will enable the winter heating season to go ahead smoothly. We worked on this project for a few months with our colleagues at Naftohaz. Ukrainian buildings will be provided with heating in full during the winter period," he assured.
