Kyiv’s Metropolitan plans stop using tokens in 2017

Kyiv’s Metropolitan, the municipal enterprise that operates the Kyiv subway system, plans to stop using tokens to pay a fare.

Head of Kyiv’s Metropolitan Viktor Brahynsky said at a meeting of Kyiv Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I believe that next year we will make this step [stop using tokens],” Brahynsky said.

He said that in the near future Kyiv’s subway will have a single e-ticket to pay a fare for using the subway and ground transport.
