PM Groysman: Salaries of teachers and doctors to be raised by 20-30%

The draft national budget for 2017 envisages a gradual increase in salaries of teachers and health workers by 20-30%.
This was stated by Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman at a government’s meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“This means the increase in salaries in education and healthcare by 20% - 30%,” the prime minister said.
According to him, all social standards will be raised by 10% from December 1, including salaries to teachers and health workers, while the next increase in salaries will took place from January 2017.
Thus, according to Groysman, a teacher of the first category will receive UAH 5,708 from January 2017, and by the end of the year - UAH 6,400. The salary of a general practitioner at the polyclinic will be raised to UAH 7,000, the prime minister added.
