Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has ordered ministers to start the work on reparations for immediate implementation of a free trade agreement with Canada after its ratification by the Verkhovna Rada.
The premier said this at a governmental sitting on Wednesday, according to the governmental portal.
“I’m calling on all ministers today to immediately start the work on preparations for putting into action the free trade agreement with Canada,” Groysman said.
In particular, the premier ordered First Vice Prime Minister, Economic Development and Trade Minister Stepan Kubiv to coordinate the work of ministries and departments on this issue.
He also reminded that on July 11 the Canada-Ukraine free trade deal was signed during the visit of Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Ukraine. The new deal will open access for Ukraine to the $500 billion market.
