Ukrainian PM Groysman: 20 bln cu m of gas annually produced in Ukraine

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this on the air of ICTV Ukrainian TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We extracted 60 and more billion cubic meters of gas back in 1970-80s. Today, the state hardly produces 12.5 billion. And when I hear, including from other political forces, that Ukraine produces 20 billion cubic meters of gas and that is enough for the population, I want to say that only 12.5 billion is the state gas while 8 billion is the private gas which the private companies were enabled to extract and destroy the Ukrainian gas sector," Groysman said.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister expressed confidence that the annual production of state gas in Ukraine could be increased up to 20 billion cubic meters in 3-5 years.
