Naftogaz may resume purchase of Russian gas in July

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has obtained a chance to use loan funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for purchasing Russian gas and is now in talks with Gazprom and European companies.
CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev said this to journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Purchase of gas will resume in July. We are negotiating in both directions and we will choose depending on the price offer. We will start buying gas at our own expense as the EBRD funds will be available no earlier than July 20. Later, we will also use the funds from the bank," Kobolev said.
