Ukraine Cabinet plans to resolve issue of paying pensions and benefits to IDPs tomorrow

Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers intends to resolve the issue of timely transfer of pensions and social benefits to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at its next meeting on Wednesday, June 8, government site reports.

"With the adoption of amendments to the law on "Protection of rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons" dated January 13, 2016 there arose a disagreement with the current decree of the Cabinet of Ministers №509 dated October 1, 2014 relating to registration of IDPs. Because of this disagreement, some internally displaced persons have experienced difficulties in applying for benefits at social protection agency," a statement notes.

The Cabinet of Ministers said that any hindrances to the rapid processing of benefits payments will be removed, and payments will transferred on time and in full amount.
