Three-quarters of household customers already have gas meters

As stated by Naftogas: «As of April 1 9.501 million households out of total 13 million apartments and private houses (not including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol), have been equipped with gas meters, which accounts for 72.8% of household consumers.

Naftogas also reports data for three categories of consumers.

Category 1: multipurpose consumption (heating, water heating and cooking), 7.482 million households (57% of the total number of household consumers, consume 91% of gas). 7.410 million or 99% of households in this category are equipped with meters.

Category 2: only water heating and cooking, 1.108 million households (8% of the total number of household consumers, consume 3% of gas). 889 thousand households have meters. In one month the level of equipment with meters increased from 79.1% to 80.2%. 219.1 thousand households still do not have meters.

Category 3: only cooking, 4.467 million households (35% of the total number of household consumers, consume 6% of gas). Meters to this category of consumers shall be installed before January 1, 2018. Currently 1.201 million or 26,9% of households in this category have meters.
