Energy Ministry’s representative: Ukraine ready for gas talks with EU and Russia

Director of the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry's department for European integration, Mykhaylo Bno-Airiian, wrote this on his Facebook page.

“Yesterday we informed the European Commission's leadership about our willingness to take part in talks in the Ukraine-EU-Russia trilateral format in the gas sphere any time convenient for Brussels,” the representative of the Coal Industry Ministry said.

In addition, the Ukrainian Energy Minister in a letter to European Commission Deputy Head Maros Sefcovic stressed an important role of the European Commission regarding the issue of depoliticization of gas relations between Ukraine and Russia and noted the continuation of policy earlier carried out by the ministry regarding the issue of mutual relations in the gas sphere in the trilateral format.
