IMF downgrades Ukraine's GDP growth forecast for 2016

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects that Ukraine’s GDP growth in 2016 will total 1.5%, while the inflation rate will reach 15.1%. 

This is said in the World Economic Outlook, the IMF website reports.

"Ukraine's economy is projected to return to positive growth in 2016," the report says.

The document notes that real GDP growth is projected at 1.5% in 2016, and 2.5% in 2017, inflation in 2016 is expected to reach the level of 15.1%, and in 2017 - 11%. At the same time, the IMF projected the unemployment rate in 2016 at 9.2%, and in 2017- at 8.8%.
