Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said he hopes that the Finance Ministry will complete a plan on the main directions of budget policy for 2017 and introduce amendments, in particular, regarding the anti-corruption agencies.
The prime minister said this at a government sitting on Wednesday, March 30, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"In the text about the main directions of budget policy I haven’t seen any single sentence that the financing of agencies on the fight against corruption should be increased and continued. Another issue that is missing in the text is the mentioned financing of the judicial reform," Yatsenyuk said.
In addition, the prime minister noted that the main directions of budget policy for 2017 should comply with economic and political targets of the state, "because the budget is a tool for the implementation of our policy."
