The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft law on the energy market.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The bill has been approved and sent to the parliament. It will be completed in the parliament,” Yatsenyuk noted.

The prime minister also stressed that the adoption of the law will promote investment to the energy sector, and “this will have an influence on the price of energy companies that will be privatized”.

As a reminder, earlier Yatsenyuk stated that the reform of energy market should be aimed at de-monopolization of the market and creation of competition, what will enable attracting investments and cutting prices of services for consumers.
