Construction of third and fourth units at Khmelnytsky NPP halted because of outdated technologies - Demchyshyn

Construction of third and fourth units at Khmelnytsky NPP will be frozen in the near future.
Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn told a meeting of the Rada of Ukraine Committee on fuel and energy complex, nuclear policy and nuclear safety, Ukrinform reports.
"The construction of the third and fourth units at KhNPP will not be completed soon," the minister said.
He noted it is necessary to decide whether or not to build these units using technologies that had been proposed earlier.
