Yanukovych signs five-year National space program

KYIV, September 30 /Ukrinform/. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych signed the law “On approval of National target scientific-technical space program of Ukraine for 2013-2017.”
The Presidential press service informs about this.
The National target scientific-technical and space program for 2013-2017 is the fifth space program of independent Ukraine.
Its aim is rising of efficiency of the use of space potential for solution of urgent issues of the social-economic, cultural, information and scientific-educational development of the society, ensuring of national security and defense and protection of geopolitical interests of the state.
The program realization will enable ensuring development of space technologies and their integration into the real sector of the national economy, as well as into the sphere of national security and defense.
