Retirement age will not be raised – Groysman

The reform proposed by the Cabinet does not provide for raising the retirement age, but it cancels the taxation of pensions.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this, commenting on the decision of the National Council of Reforms to support the pension reform, the Governmental portal informs.

"We had a thorough conversation, we received useful suggestions, and the National Reform Council supported the pension reform. Now we need to go through all the necessary procedures. The key positions are that the retirement age will not be raised, the pensions will be modernized from October 1 and the taxation of pensions will be cancelled," he said.

As reported, the National Reform Council under the President of Ukraine at its meeting on Friday, June 16, approved the draft pension reform.
