Average salary to exceed UAH 7,000 by year-end - Groysman

The average salary in the country will exceed UAH 7,000 by the end of the year, and the minimum wage will grow next year.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with representatives of regional media on Friday, Governmental portal reported.

"The average salary in the country will exceed UAH 7,000 by the end of the year, thus the minimum wage will amount to UAH 3,200. However, next year the minimum salary will be increased. We will do everything possible for the economic growth to lead to increased incomes of citizens," the Head of Government noted.

He has said that the vital prerequisite for growth includes stimulation of job creations due to launch of new large-scale infrastructure projects as well as due to support of industry and increase of opportunities in the regions. The Prime Minister has noted that the programs of support have been already kicked off in the agricultural, pharmacology and engineering sectors and soon the Government will present a bill that will allow conducting a prompt modernization and re-equipment of enterprises.
