PM Groysman: Share of consumer goods industry in Ukraine’s GDP could grow

Ukrinform
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says he expects that a share of consumer goods industry in Ukraine’s GDP could grow from one to several percent.

The Prime Minister stated this during his official trip to Chernihiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“A significant share of consumer goods industry in the country’s GDP is slightly above 1%, but the growth potential, I think, is exactly the same, which can reach several percent,” Groysman said.

However, he said that meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Consumer Goods Industry are planned to be held in the coming weeks, and the issues of customs procedures in the industry will be put on the agenda.
