Government approves bill on pension reform

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft law that allows implementing a reform of the pension system in Ukraine.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that such decision was made at the Government’s meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"After the adoption of this law, I take the responsibility for the introduction of this law and the positive result for Ukrainian pensioners. I am ready to bear completely personal political responsibility for this," Groysman said.
According to him, the Government will submit this document for consideration to the Council of Reforms under the President of Ukraine and then to the Verkhovna Rada.
Groysman has stressed that the pension reform will allow introducing for the first time in Ukraine a system of fair pension provision.
