Ukraine’s export strategy should be based on science and innovations – Vice PM Kubiv

The raw materials now prevail in the Ukrainian export structure. However, the export strategy should be based on science and innovation.
First Vice Prime Minister - Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv stated this during the presentation of the project on Export Strategy of Ukraine - Roadmap for Strategic Development of Trade, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Ukraine's export strategy should be based on science and innovation," Kubiv said.
He noted that the raw materials now made up the bulk of exports.
"70% of the export structure is agricultural products, mineral products, chemical products, timber, etc. The agro-industrial complex and the ecological agricultural products should be further based not on the export of raw materials, but on the processed products with additional value and great competition," Kubiv noted.
