PM Groysman: Government to counteract effects of economic blockade on Ukrainian economy

The Government of Ukraine is working to substitute the anthracite coal in the Ukrainian economy and increase other energy capacities.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during the hour of questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We substitute the anthracite coal and reduce dependence on this type of coal. We modernize the Ukrainian thermal power, increase nuclear energy capacities, create mechanisms for reducing consumption," Groysman said.
The Prime Minister added that production of Ukrainian gas would be increased by 500 million cubic meters this year.
He also noted that the Government would work to counteract the effects of the economic blockade on the Ukrainian economy.
