Ukraine’s GDP grew by 5.1% in January 2017, according to the data released by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade on Wednesday.

The report says that the composite index of goods and services production in January 2017 grew by 7% compared to January 2016, 112 Ukraine TV Channel reports.

Ukraine’s GDP grew by 5.1% in January, while the index of January 2016 was estimated at the level of -1.6%.

In addition, the report states that increased consumer demand amid rising rates of the minimum wage was one of the factors that had a positive impact on the indicators in January 2017.
