Minister Nasalyk plans to increase Ukrainian coal production by 60-80%

Ukraine's coal production is expected to increase by 60-80%, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk has stated, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I look at the development of coal industry with optimism. We have set a task to increase coal production by almost 60-80%, and we will achieve this result by joint efforts,” Nasalyk said.
According to him, the ministry managed to pay the arrears in salaries to miners.
Nasalyk also reminded that UAH 1 billion was provided in the state budget for the modernization and technical re-equipment of mines in 2017.
