Vice PM Zubko: EU, Germany to help finance Ukraine’s energy efficiency fund

The draft law on the establishment of the Energy Efficiency Fund of Ukraine has been already submitted to the Parliament. The Fund’s activity will be financed by the state budget of Ukraine, the EU and Germany. 

This was stated by Vice Prime Minister, Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Minister of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko in an interview to ZiK TV channel, the Ministry’s press service reports.

"The Energy Efficiency Fund will provide not only financial support but also technical solutions for mass implementation. The Fund’s activity will be financed by the state budget as well as by means of the EU and the German government," Zubko said.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, the establishment of the Fund is a tool that will offer a systematic approach to the thermal modernisation of entire Ukraine.
