Minister Kutovyi: 39 Ukrainian agricultural enterprises entered EU market over past year

“Currently, 277 Ukrainian enterprises have already been licensed to export their products to the European market. By comparison, there were 238 such enterprises back in 2015,” Kutovyi noted.

In addition, Ukraine and the European Union agreed to increase the quotas for Ukrainian agricultural producers.

“In terms of cooperation with Western partners, I would like to note that the European Union agreed to increase the quotas for Ukrainian agricultural producers. In particular, this refers to corn, wheat, honey, cereals, processed tomatoes (totaling $196 million),” Kutovyi wrote.

According to him, foreign markets are expected to expand for Ukrainian agricultural producers thanks to an increase in organic food production output.

“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported another important draft bill on the main principles and requirements for organic food production, turnover and labeling. Currently, the draft bill has been submitted for the approval of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and we hope for an immediate result. Adopting this bill will make Ukrainian organic food products more competitive and expand foreign sales markets for them,” Kutovyi stated.
