Moldova to lift restrictions on Ukrainian goods starting from January 1

The Government of Moldova will not extend the restrictions on import of Ukrainian goods starting from January 1, 2017.

This was stated by Economy Minister of Moldova Octavian Calmac during a meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan joint commission for trade and economic cooperation, the Ministry posted on its Twitter page.

"Moldovan Economy Minister Moldova Octavian Calmac says to Stepan Kubiv: the Moldovan government will not extend restrictive measures, quotas starting from January 1, 2017," the statement reads.

In addition, Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv and his deputy Natalia Mykolska met with Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip and discussed the strengthening of economy, energy, and infrastructure cooperation.
