In 2025, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense put into service more than 1,300 new types of domestically produced weapons and military equipment, a quarter more than in 2024.

According to Ukrinform, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Facebook.

According to him, the largest share includes:

  • over 550 unmanned aerial systems (UAS);
  • more than 270 types of ammunition for various purposes;
  • over 50 types of vehicles;
  • 11 types of armored vehicles, including specialized armored cars;
  • 13 types of small arms.

“This is the result of the systematic work of Ukrainian manufacturers, who not only scale up production but also develop new technological solutions for the front,” Shmyhal noted.

He also emphasized that developing the domestic defense-industrial complex is a strategic priority, and that homegrown designs and modern technologies form one of the key pillars of the Ukrainian military’s resilience.
