The Brave1 defense cluster has conducted final tests of kamikaze strike drones with a range exceeding 40 km; the systems will soon be used in combat.

This was reported on Telegram by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, according to Ukrinform.

“Kamikaze strike drones with a range of 40+ km, capable of overcoming electronic warfare, represent a new level of hitting the enemy far beyond the frontline. Brave1 has completed final tests of such systems. Thanks to the support from Brave1 and feedback from the military, manufacturers were able to develop the most effective technologies, which will be used on the frontline very soon,” the statement reads.

Next steps include combat trials, after which the rapid deployment of kamikaze strike drones on the battlefield will be accelerated.

Fedorov emphasized that strike drones are an inexpensive and practical solution for the frontline — easy to produce and scalable. They allow for precise strikes at distances of 40, 50 km, and even farther.

As reported, on September 12, as part of an operation by Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, kamikaze drones struck the Bashnafta-Novoil refinery in Ufa, the capital of Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic.
