DOT signs contracts worth UAH 75B over one year
As reported by Ukrinform, Umerov announced this on Facebook.
"Exactly one year ago, the Ministry of Defense fundamentally transformed its approach to supplying our military. We launched the Non-Lethal Defense Acquisition Agency (DOT) — a key element of the defense procurement reform," the minister noted.
According to him, over the year, DОТ has signed contracts worth 75 billion UAH. At the same time, they saved over 17 billion UAH, including 7 billion UAH on food, 6.5 billion UAH on fuel, and 3.7 billion UAH on equipment supplies.
Additionally, 45 new suppliers have been involved in the process; the DOT-Chain IT system has been launched to ensure transparent and uninterrupted logistics; and a supervisory board for DОТ has been established, consisting of Ukrainian and international experts, which increased trust in the system.
"These changes have allowed the Ministry of Defense to focus on strategic management, policymaking, and oversight, while procurement has been delegated to a specialized structure," emphasized Umerov.
He also thanked the entire DОТ team, including CEO Arsen Zhumadilov, for their professionalism and dedication.
As reported, in December 2023, Umerov presented a new agency for logistics support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
