"These 698 days into the start of the full-scale war, Poland has provided Ukraine with weapons and equipment worth almost $3.5 billion," Shmyhal said.

According to the head of government, from the first days of the full-scale war, Poland was among the leaders in terms of military support for Kyiv, as it understood that "Ukraine today is the shield of Europe, a shield against Russian imperialism, barbarism, authoritarianism, and the security of all European countries depends on how strong this shield will be, how strong Ukraine will be."

He emphasized that Ukraine is extremely grateful for this assistance. The prime minister also expressed hope that "the new government of Poland will give a new impulse in this direction."

Shmyhal thanked Poland for providing a new package of military aid to Ukraine. According to him, this will allow for strengthening cooperation in the defense area, support the Ukrainian Army, and contribute to the restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
