Reznikov: IRIS-T air defence systems already in Ukraine

A new era of air defence has begun in Ukraine. German IRIS-T air defence systems are already in the country.

“This is only the beginning. And we need more. No doubt that russia is a terrorist state. There is a moral imperative to protect the sky over Ukraine in order to save our people,” Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov posted on Twitter.

He added that US-Norwegian NASAMS air defence systems were coming to Ukraine.

Reznikov also thanked German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht for her partnership and strong commitment to supporting Ukraine.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky at a joint meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen with media said that there were positive results in negotiations with German partners on the supply of NASAMS and IRIS-T air defence systems.
