150 more civilians evacuated from Donetsk region in past day

On August 28, 150 civilians were evacuated from Donetsk region.

"Rescuers helped 148 people, including 13 children and 11 people with disabilities, during the evacuation in Pokrovsk district," the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk Region posted on Facebook.

Moreover, two people were evacuated from the zone of active hostilities in Kramatorsk district.

Since February 24, 2022, 9,835 people have been evacuated from the localities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by employees of subordinate units of the Main Department.

As reported, mandatory evacuation is being carried out in Donetsk region, which is constantly under enemy fire, experiences constant problems with water supply and has no gas supply.

No more than 235,000 people involved in the defense and maintenance of critical infrastructure should remain in Donetsk region by the autumn-winter period, the rest should be evacuated. Until February 24, 1,670,000 people lived in Donetsk region permanently.
