Hotel destroyed in Russia’s shelling of downtown Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv Hotel has been destroyed in Russia’s shelling of downtown Mykolaiv. The blast wave also damaged a shopping mall.
The relevant statement was made by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The heart of the city. Mykolaiv Hotel. The blast wave and projectile fragments also damaged a shopping mall across the street,” Sienkevych wrote.
In his words, municipal services are working at the scene. They have already removed the debris and waste from the road to unblock traffic and are now cleaning the rest of the area.
A reminder that, early in the morning of July 14, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on the city of Mykolaiv, having hit a number of civilian objects.
