Ivano-Frankivsk airport and fuel and lubricants depots are being destroyed by Russian missile systems.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy has attacked the western regions of Ukraine. The Ivano-Frankivsk airport and fuel and lubricants depots are being destroyed by missile systems," the ministry said.

According to the report, the enemy launched a strike on the airport in Lutsk.

"Air raid sirens are going off in Lviv, people are being evacuated to shelters," the ministry said.

Earlier, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Ivano-Frankivsk region confirmed that the building of the airport's fuel and lubricants depot is on fire in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Early on February 24, residents of Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities woke up to the sounds of loud explosions. The explosions began to be reported around 05:00 after the head of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, announced the beginning of a special military operation in Donbas.
