Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny thanked the Czech Republic for providing logistics assistance to the Armed Forces.

"I thank the people and the Government of the Czech Republic for their consistent support for our state and for providing logistics assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, artillery ammunition to strengthen our defense capabilities," Zaluzhny posted on Facebook.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, he signed a relevant donation agreement with Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Daniel Blažkovec on February 1. An agreement on the rehabilitation of the Ukrainian wounded soldiers in the Czech Republic was also signed.

"During the visit, the areas of expanding bilateral military-technical cooperation were mapped out in detail," he added.

"As we work on the future, we must remember the past. An exciting moment of my stay in Prague was the commemoration of the fallen Czech soldiers near the Memorial on the Vítkov Hill,” Zaluzhny added.

As reported, in January, Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová reaffirmed the government's readiness to help Ukraine with military equipment amid the Russian military build-up near Ukraine’s border.
