Washington supports Ukraine's right to determine its own collective defense choices.

“Each country has the sovereign right to determine its own collective defense choices. We reaffirm our steadfast support for Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Ned Price posted on Twitter.

Thus, Price commented on the words of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba that Russian President Putin’s “red lines” are limited to the territory of the Russian Federation.

“Putin’s ‘red lines’ are limited to Russia’s borders. On our side of the Ukrainian-Russian border we can figure out ourselves what to do in the interests of the Ukrainian people, as well as Ukraine’s and Europe’s security,” Kuleba stressed.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that, according to Putin, Kremlin would perceive the expansion of NATO infrastructure on the territory of Ukraine as an intention to cross Kremlin’s “red lines”.

Alexander Lukashenko said that he had agreed with Putin to take "some actions" against Ukraine in response to the alleged deployment of U.S. military bases there.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that the main threat to Ukraine, Belarus, and the Belarusian people was currently posed by the Russian Federation.

"To preserve the sovereignty and independence of Belarus and not to become an appendage of Russia – that's what Minsk should really think about," said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleh Nikolenko.
