Nine Ukrainian soldiers killed, 28 injured in JFO area in August – Ombudsperson

In August, nine Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 28 more were wounded in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area as a result of ceasefire violations by the armed formations of the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“In August, as a result of ceasefire violations by the Russian occupation contingent, Ukraine lost nine defenders, 28 more were wounded," Denisova wrote.

She called on the international community to use various available tools to force the aggressor state to adhere to full and comprehensive ceasefire along the contact line and observe the international humanitarian law.
