Twelve ceasefire violations recorded in JFO area
“The enemy opened fire from 82mm mortars near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); different grenade launchers – outside Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); small arms – in the area of Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk) and Novotoshkivske (53km west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns and grenade machine guns – near Prychepylivka (50km north-west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns, grenade machine guns, anti-tank missiles – outside Pavlopil (25km north-west of Mariupol); tripod-mounted man-portable antitank gun – in the area of Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); heavy machine guns were used and two VOG-17 grenades were dropped from an UAV on Ukrainian positions near Hranitne (60km south of Donetsk),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports.
A Ukrainian serviceman received a bullet wound in the enemy shelling. The soldier was promptly given medical first aid and evacuated to a medical facility.
Near Pivnichne (44km north-east of Donetsk), the enemy fired anti-tank missile systems on civilian infrastructure.
Ukrainian defenders fired back in response to the enemy shelling.
Using the coordination mechanism, the Ukrainian side of the JCCC promptly responded to violations through the OSCE SMM.
As of 07:00 on May 29, no ceasefire violations were recorded.
"Ukrainian service members continue to control the situation in the Joint Forces Operation area," the Headquarters informs.
