Sniper kills Ukrainian serviceman near Novotoshkivske

A sniper of Russian-backed forces has killed a serviceman of the Ukrainian Joint Forces near Novotoshkivske, Luhansk region, the North operational and tactical group has reported on Facebook.
"On May 27, in the area of responsibility of the North operational and tactical group, Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire and fired at the positions of Ukrainian defenders near the settlement of Novotoshkivske," the report said.
As a result of sniper fire, a serviceman from the Ukrainian Joint Forces sustained a fatal wound.
Ukrainian defenders opened fire in response to the shelling of the Russian occupation forces.
Brigade officials and a rapid response team of the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are working at the scene.
The actions of the Russian armed formations were reported to OSCE representatives through the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC).
