Latvia delivers humanitarian cargo to Donetsk region
Certificates for receiving humanitarian aid were handed over in Kramatorsk. The event was attended by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov, Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, and Chief Chaplain of the Latvian National Armed Forces Elmars Plavins.
The head of the regional state administration stressed that for the eighth year in a row, Latvia has been providing support to military and civilians suffering from the Russian armed aggression in eastern Ukraine. In the period from 2014 to 2021, representatives of the Defense Ministry of Latvia delivered more than 450 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
In addition, according to the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Dmytro Razumkov and Inara Murniece honored the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
As reported, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov and Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece paid a working visit to Donetsk region on May 19.
