Ukraine, Britain to cooperate at level of armies' operations headquarters

A Ukrainian Armed Forces delegation made an official visit to the United Kingdom to study the experience of the British Permanent Joint Headquarters and reached an agreement on deepening military cooperation between the two countries' armed forces, the press service of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Command has reported on Facebook.

"We have familiarized ourselves with the conditions for planning, preparing and conducting operations of the Joint Rapid Reaction Forces, both independently and jointly with allies and partner countries, as well as the tasks of organizing operational and combat training," Joint Forces Commander, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev said.

According to him, the experience of the Permanent Joint Headquarters of the Strategic Command of the British Armed Forces was also studied during the visit, particularly the procedure for the work of structural units of the Permanent Joint Headquarters, control procedures during operations, and the powers of commanders.

In turn, the Chief of Joint Operations of the Permanent Joint Headquarters of the Strategic Command of the British Armed Forces, Vice Admiral Ben Key, announced further steps to deepen military cooperation between the related Commands of both countries.
