Invaders launch 15 attacks on JFO positions

Over the past day, invaders launched 15 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine.

“In particular, Russian-occupation forces opened fire from 82mm and 120mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk Agreements on Ukrainian defenders near Novhorodske (35km north of Donetsk), Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk), Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk); 82mm and 120mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk); different grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in suburbs of Vodiane in Donetsk region, Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk); small arms – near Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk); tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns – outside Taramchuk (29km south-west of Donetsk) and Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); under-barrel grenade launchers and small arms – in the area of Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters informs.

In the area of Mayorske, the invaders used hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers to deliver POM-2 mines.

No combat losses among Ukrainian troops were reported over the past day.

The Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) informed the OSCE representatives about the actions of the armed formations of the Russian Federation.

As of 7 a.m. on April 17, one ceasefire violation was recorded.
